It’s officially the holiday season and I couldn’t be more excited to share my first collaboration with you guys! I’m teaming up with fellow blogger (and best friend since high school) Sarah from Semi Sweet Sas for a travel guide on a few places that you need swing by while in NYC this holiday season. There’s nothing I love more than being able to celebrate the holidays with a day trip into the city with friends and family. But if there’s no plan in place it can get a little bit hectic especially since there’s so much to do!
So here’s this seasons holiday travel guide of places that you can’t miss while visiting the city!
First on our list is Bryant Parks Winter Village & Union Squares Holiday Market!
Union Square and Bryant Park both have the cutest pop up shops filled with unique gifts and tasty snacks – this is the perfect place to pick up a quick treat and do a little holiday shopping. When you’re in Union Square, make sure to stop by Max Brenners and grab some of their delicious hot chocolate!
You can’t miss the ice rink at Bryant Park either. If you’re a fan of ice skating you’ll definitely want to add this to your list for the day!
Also make sure to grab a drink or two at the Southwest Porch in Bryant Park – we ended up meeting a few friends over there at the end of our day and even though it’s outside, they have heaters all over so you’ll stay warm while enjoying a gorgeous view of the park!
Next you’ve got to walk up 5th Avenue and head towards Saks Fifth Avenue’s holiday light display, and right across the street is the world-famous Rockefeller Christmas Tree. We ended up going before the tree was fully decorated but this is a must see! – If you have some extra time to check out Bloomingdales and Macy’s holiday window displays definitely do!
Make sure to stop at Ralph Lauren to grab a cappuccino at Ralph’s Coffee Shop. This place is fully decked out with holiday decor, always done in the traditional Ralph Lauren style (#goals). But most importantly they have ridiculously delicious coffee! You can even purchase some of their ground coffee, which is a great stocking stuffer for someone who loves an amazing cup o’ joe.
One place we didn’t end up having time to get to was Serendipity III -which had the longest wait time! We’ve heard some amazing reviews over their frozen hot chocolate so we’re going to make sure to hit it up next time around!
